Holding Light and Shadow - Online

$0.00

This free, online workshop is in celebration of the Autumnal Equinox, when the sun and moon illuminate the sky for the same length of time in the Northern Hemisphere. Similar to Spring, Autumn reminds us of change and what it means to exist in a transitory, liminal space. (As the Greek philosopher, Heraclitus stated, “The only constant is change.”) This equal opportunity for day and night as well as the sun entering the sign of Libra, often depicted by a scale, calls us to examine both the ‘light’ and the ‘dark’ of our lives in search of balance.

As the Summer heat wanes, allowing cooler temperatures to settle-in, and we begin to retreat indoors, our focus tends to be on comfort and our immediate environment (externally as well as internally). Historically, the seasons carry inherent themes and metaphor. Autumn, for example, is a time to savor and reflect on all that we’ve ‘harvested’ in the last year as well as that which we hope to release. This workshop is dedicated to holding space for both, the ‘light’, the ‘dark’, and all the reds, oranges, and yellows in-between.
