In-person - $35 per couple; ages 18+
The pillar of “security & predictability” alongside “play & uncertainty” lay the foundations of any sincerely comforting, joyful relationship, with “communication” (verbal & nonverbal) as its brick & mortar, filling in the “gaps”. All relationships must dance between feelings of belonging and autonomy, and the dynamic where this is perhaps most obvious yet overlooked is that of the romantic partnership.
This creative, body-positive workshop is dedicated to helping you and your partner connect in an unconventional, intimate way just in time for Valentine’s Day. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, groove to funk, soul, & rnb from the 70s-present, and take turns painting with non-toxic, glow-in-the-dark body paint under blacklight! Massage therapist Devante Williams will set the mood of the event with a demonstration of couple’s massage techniques for you and your partner to learn & practice prior to painting in the open studio space.
(Participants are also welcome to book a massage for their significant other prior to or following the scheduled workshop. Visit Renew Stretch Therapy to explore massage services.)
Please note that this is an all-inclusive, identity-affirming space. We ask that you remain conscious of your personal comfort level as well as others’ comfort level when considering attire.
